Krung Kavee Golf Course
About
Well-maintained eco-friendly course near Don Muang Airport
Set within a spacious private residential community near Don Muang airport, Krung Kavee is a meticulously maintained golf course designed by renowned course architect Manabu Sakamoto, who in contrast to other Japanese architects, prefers to construct long golf courses. While the course's rice paddy field location limits the potential for elevation changes, it makes up for it in its other features, notably the numerous natural and human-made ponds and lakes.
Krung Kavee prioritizes environmentally-friendly maintenance practices, resulting in not only aesthetically pleasing playing surfaces but also eliminating the need for harmful pesticides and herbicides. The course boasts an exceptional sub-surface drainage system, ensuring that standing water is never an issue, even during the rainy season in Bangkok.
Among the course's intriguing holes is a large island green par-3 that provides players of all abilities with an opportunity to reach the green. The greens are mostly level and well-maintained, providing a fast and precise roll. Many holes feature lateral water hazards or require long water carries, and several, including holes 6, 7, and 8, are particularly challenging par fours, even from the forward ladies' tees.
The cozy clubhouse, overlooking the course, offers panoramic views and 5-star hotel standard locker rooms and shower facilities. The Rangsit Kitchen restaurant on the premises is known for serving some of the best Thai cuisine in Bangkok, including curries, soups, fresh vegetables, and seafood dishes, all made with fresh ingredients.
Overall, Krung Kavee provides golfers in Bangkok with a top-notch golfing experience, complete with exceptional service.
Reviews
Value for money, tourist friendly!
Played solo. Finished earlier than expected. Overall, experience is good. Friendly staff, course close to the city. Can't believe I was recommended for this course.
One of the worse maintained courses I have on. Greens were spotted, uneven, and not pruned. The fringe of green was not cleaned at all having shrub like weed growing. Facilities were outdated and downright need to be upkept. Fairways were very poorly managed, if managed. Carts were dated. Clubhouse was the only place they paid attention to. Caddy were trying to be helpful but was more off than on with recommendations of the course. I will never play here again and whoever said they stand by this course recommendation when they arranged for me should be embarrassed. Sorry for venting. Was very disappointed in this arrangement.Great golf course
