Challenging, hilly championship course amongst the best in Bangkok
Located in the rural outskirts west of Bangkok, Suwan Golf & Country Club is a challenging, championship-calibre golf course that has played host to numerous prestigious tournaments like the 2010 Asian Tour International & 2011 Thailand Open. Set amidst fruit orchards, rice fields, palm trees, and lotus ponds that add to its tropical-Thai vibe, this award-winning 18-hole course is deservedly popular among both golf professionals and holidaymakers.
This masterpiece of a course features fairways covered in imported Paspalum grass and greens rebuilt in 2009 using the latest ultra-dwarf Bermuda strain, Mini-Verde. The putting surfaces at Suwan are among the best in Bangkok and can rival those found at championship courses like Alpine or Thai CC.
With its numerous elevation changes, each hole at Suwan has its unique character and challenge. Fairways offer uneven lies, upping the difficulty of your approaches into the well-guarded greens. Several holes demand long and straight tee shots to avoid strategically placed fairway hazards, while the greens are full of subtle, deceptive breaks.
The clubhouse and other facilities at Suwan are top-notch, featuring two large putting greens, a 300-yard grass driving range, and bunker/chipping areas available to all golfers. The modern locker rooms, rain showers, Japanese style bath and Jacuzzi, and excellent Thai restaurant that looks out over the 9th hole make for a memorable golfing experience. The well-trained and service-minded caddies are among the best in Thailand.

Suwan GC is a little further out, but the course is in great condition and the holes are fun. Facilities are good, with a little issue of bugs in the shower area. Not sure they can do anything to improve that part but it's not terrible, just annoying.Course Info
