The Vintage Club
About
Lesser-known but excellent Arthur Hills design with extensive facilities
The Vintage Golf Club, located near Suvarnabhumi International Airport, is a lesser-known golf course in Bangkok that regularly hosts professional and amateur Thai PGA and LPGA events. Designed by renowned US golf architect Arthur Hills, Vintage Golf Club retains its natural surroundings, with marshes, reeds, and multi-coloured bougainvillea plants, offering a countryside feel rather than a golf course in the outskirts of Bangkok.
Opened in January 1996, the par-72 Vintage Golf Club course covers 6,952 yards across a classic layout with gently rolling terrain that challenges and rewards golfers of all skill levels. The course is known for its firm fairways, providing a good run out of well-struck drives. Afternoon breezes and exciting closing holes add to the pleasure of playing this Bangkok golf course.
The course features four par-3s of varying length and setup, with a par on each going a long way to a good score. The Vintage Golf Club also boasts some thrilling holes, such as the par-3 2nd, par-5 10th, and par-4 13th, which can pose challenges to even the best golfers.
Caddies are excellent and some speak good English, providing helpful guidance on breaks before putting. Golfers can warm up or practice at the 350-yard grass driving range with natural turf and an extensive practice putting green.
The Tudor English-style clubhouse offers comfortable facilities, including locker rooms, restaurants, and pro shops. The locker rooms are well-appointed and airy, with additional amenities such as steam rooms, Jacuzzis, and massages. The clubhouse restaurant serves delicious Japanese food at reasonable prices.
With readily available tee times, low green fees, and fast play without delays, the Vintage Golf Club offers excellent value-for-money for golfers looking for an enjoyable round at a semi-private course on their next Bangkok golf holiday.
Reviews
Convenient if you need to catch a flight after the game as the course is approx 35-40 mins to airport.
Course condition is not pristine but value for money. It's a >40 yr old course, so it has stood its time well. Caddies are very knowledgeable & can provide good service & speaks simple English. They are very efficient & you get to play in no time & finish your game pretty quickly. The course was very nice and in good shape. Would definitely return.
The greens were fast. The pace of play was ok considering we were a twosome following a fivesome. They eventually let us pass them. The pro shop took their time helping us check in and to pay for our souvenirs. The caddy service were ok. At times they seem distracted but it didn’t interfere with us enjoying this wonderful golf course.Good course
Fast green. Friendly course not too long. Over weekday, pace of play is very good. Professional caddyCourse Info
