Thailand's only Gary Player-designed course offers great value for money
Located around an hour from Bangkok, Lotus Valley Golf Resort is the only Gary Player-designed golf course in Thailand and one of just a handful in Asia. The course is made up of two nine-hole loops, and with water coming into play on almost every hole to some degree, offers a variety of risk/reward propositions, with both safe and more risky routes to the green. In line with Player's traditional Scottish ethos, the fairways and fringes around the greens are kept close cut.
A renovation in 2009 saw reshaped green complexes and new irrigation, resulting in some superb playing conditions and a course which is challenging, visually beautiful and above all great fun to play.
The best holes on the front nine include the par-3 3rd, which demands a long carry over water to a green protected by a large bunker, and the most difficult hole on the course, the 6th. It features water all along the left, numerous bunkers waiting to ensnare any mishit drive, and requires a narrow approach to the green between two bunkers.
More challenges await on the back nine, notably at the 13th, an extremely long par 4 with water all along the left side with a well-protected green. The 17th is a brute of a par 3 which will require a driver for many of us, and a huge bunker all the way from tee to green has the potential to wreck your card. If that wasn’t enough there's a monster par 5 to finish.
The modern clubhouse has a spacious lobby and entrance area, a well-stocked pro shop, and locker rooms with traditional Japanese Onsen baths. The Lotus Restaurant serves a wide range of Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Western food and is highly regarded. The green fees are reasonable, and the course is relatively quiet, making for a fast pace of play.
Lotus Valley Golf Resort maintains championship standards throughout the year, and although it may take slightly longer to get there, the quality of the course and the fast play make it a must-visit destination for golfers in Bangkok.

Enjoyable game
Good condition of fairway and service. Caddy would provide you a glass of ice when arriving every refreshment kiosk. It helps to reduce heat when you playing golf in May at noon in Bangkok.The experience was good, the caddies were friendly
Overall cost conditions, the fairway was wide, the greens were a little slow as it rained that day, the bunkers were a little hard, I would give it a 7.5 out of 10 for course rating. The clubhouse was clean, the changing rooms were clean, overall pretty good.On the weekday which I want to play there were not many people,Long journey but well worth it
