One of very few golf courses in Thailand with official USGA certification for professional championships, the Royal Gems Golf & Sports Club is a spectacular course from famed designer Garry Roger Baird that played host to a European Seniors Tour event in 2019. Set in a peaceful parkland environment around 75 minutes from Bangkok, it features several lakes, narrow fairways, thick rough, large bunkers, and fast greens.
This member's only course is one of the most elegant golf courses in the greater Bangkok area, incorporating American, Scottish, and Thai elements and featuring a stunning collection of holes, maintained to an impeccable standard.
Although mostly flat, each hole has a unique layout that offers its distinct challenges, easily visible from the tee. The par-5s are challenging, and three of the four par-3s require a direct tee shot over water to reach the green. Trees frame each hole to catch stray shots, and water and bunkering are frequently in play.
The driving range and other practice facilities are perfect for golfers to warm up before play. While the onsite golf resort is of a reasonable standard, it's best for those who are overnighting in the area since there are limited local activities and private transportation is necessary. The clubhouse restaurant offers excellent Japanese, Thai, and Western cuisine.
While there's no shortage of excellent golf courses to choose from on your next Bangkok golf holiday, Royal Gems stands out as one of the premium options.

The course basically is well maintained, caddy friendly, value for money .
The course is good condition, the caddy are very friendly, only the changing room needs upgrades, I have no hot water to shower .We enjoyed playing.
It is a nice course. Not difficult but you can enjoy the course. We played 3 somes with carts so the pace of play was pretty good and it was slow down a little slowdown to foursomes infront are walking. Course condition was good. We played early morning so bunkers are a little wet but that is part of the nature. Overall we had great time. Restaurant food was good too.Hidden "gem"
Mostly frequented by members, this course is very underrated. Price was reasonable, conditions were good, caddies were knowledgeable. I'll definitely play here again, good value for money.Course Info
