Above-average and recently renovated course an hour from Bangkok
Located just past Don Mueang International Airport, Wangnoi Prestige Golf & Country Club is a little over an hour's drive from downtown Bangkok. With a clubhouse facelift and new management in 2018, as well as the re-grassing of the former Muang Ake layout, Wangnoi Prestige now offers an above-average Bangkok golf experience at a reasonable price.
The 7,238-yard course features native Zoysia grass fairways and ultra-dwarf TiffEagle greens, with wide fairways flanked by large mature trees. While the course is generally flattish, strategically placed bunkers, natural lakes, and streams create hazards that come into play on most holes.
The signature hole is the 17th, a 568-yard par-5, the toughest hole on the course. Long hitters can attempt to reach the green in two strokes, but most golfers should lay up on the third shot to avoid the water which runs down the left side of the fairway and green.
The pro shop offers a range of products to suit most golfers' needs, and practice facilities include a grass driving range, short-game area, and two large practice greens with bunkers.
The main clubhouse restaurant provides visitors with a venue to relax before or after a round, offering all-day dining options that include Thai, Asian, and International cuisine. The well-stocked wine cellar offers fine wines, a rarity at even more expensive and exclusive Thai golf clubs.

Good course but quite difficult
Fairways and greens are in excellent shape. If you don't play straight, tight fairways and plenty of water traps with little forgiveness. A high handicap challenge. Friendly employees and I suggest playing here. Will return in the future.Course Info
